RESPONSIBILITY
The practice of cycling involves the risk of potentially serious injuries, which could lead to the
death of the user in the event of an accident. As the parent, legal guardian, or supervisor of the
child, you are fully responsible for the activities and safety of the child using the balance bike.
You are advised that there are risks associated with any bicycle use which cannot be foreseen
or avoided, and which are the sole responsibility of its user.
It is your responsibility to ensure that:
Your child uses the balance bike in proper conditions under adult direct supervision, in a
safe and secure environment. The balance bike is not approved for riding on the road or in
traffic. We recommend wearing protective equipment!
This balance bike should be used with caution since skills are required to avoid falls or
collisions causing injuries to the user or third parties.
Your child has understood your instructions.
The balance bike is only used on flat, solid surfaces without obstacles. The balance bike is
not designed for performing jumps, acrobatics, or riding on uneven surfaces. This could
put your child at risk of falling and cause serious injury.
Ensure that the user of the balance bike wears closed shoes and appropriate protective
clothing: a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and/or other approved protection. The
protective gear must fit the child’s body perfectly. We remind you that wearing a helmet is
compulsory. Please check the Legal status of your country before using the balance bike.
Maximum Load of the RASCAL Bance Bikes:
RASCAL Punk: 30kg
RASCAL Trunk: 25kg
All RASCAL balance bikes meet the standards of EN-71.
Basic Maintenance and Use
Remember that regular maintenance is key to keeping your bike in perfect condition.
9. Cleaning
It is much easier to detect any defects, worn/loose parts, or any frame damage on a clean bike.
We strongly recommend using a bicycle cleaner solution with a sponge and/or soft brush and
always rinse the bike thoroughly with water afterward. Do not clean with a pressure hose or gun
as it could damage the bearings.
10. Brakes
Make sure that the brake cable is properly seated in the brake lever, and that the brake cable
moves freely when the brake lever is pulled. Do not forget to adjust the brake tension barrel on
the brake lever, ensuring that there is sufficient tension in the brake cable without the brake
pads rubbing on the rim.
