P327 Mini SL only
Introduction
As referred to earlier in this manual, the SL or “seat
-lift version” of the P327 Mini features additional
functionality and controls to allow the user to elevate
their sitting position using the joystick module. (Fig 2)
Before attempting to raise or lower the seat, make
sure that the Powerchair is on level ground, not
moving and that freewheel mode is not engaged.
You should be sitting comfortably with your feet on
the footrests.
To raise the seat:
1. Press the seat actuator mode button (1) on the
joystick (circled in Fig.2). The Powerchair drive will
now be suspended.
2. Pull the joystick (arrowed in Fig.2) towards you
and the Powerchair seat will start to rise. When the
desired height is reached, release the joystick and
press the actuator mode button once again. Drive
will now be enabled. The maximum speed of the
Powerchair will be limited with the seat in a raised
position. This is to maintain stability performance.
See Fig.3 for the seat in its highest position.
To lower the seat:
1. Press the seat actuator mode button (1) on the
joystick (circled in Fig.2). The Powerchair drive will
now be suspended.
2. Push the joystick (arrowed in Fig,2) away from
you and the Powerchair seat will start to lower.
When the desired height is reached, release the
joystick and press the actuator mode button once
again. Drive will now be enabled. The maximum
speed of the Powerchair will be limited with the seat
in a raised position. This is to maintain stability per-
formance. The seat must be in the lowest position
to enable driving at full speed. See Fig.4 for the seat
in its lowest position.
If at anytime you wish to halt the raising or lowering
of the seat, simply allow the joystick to return to its
neutral position.
Warning! NEVER raise or lower the seat if
there any obstructions between the power-base
and the underside of the seat - there is a risk
of damage and or injury as a pinch point exists
between the seat and the mounting frame of the
power-base. Always check before actuating the
seat controls.
Warning! NEVER modify any of the controls
as this will not only invalidate guarantees, but
more importantly it may lead to serious injury.
