Why is instrument data unavailable on all Raymarine Media Converter displays?
    • A
      Ashley SmithJul 25, 2025
If instrument, engine, or other system data is unavailable at all displays, it could be due to several reasons. First, check the data bus (e.g., SeaTalkng) wiring and its connections to ensure data is being received at the display and verify the overall integrity of the data bus wiring. Also, check the source of the missing data (e.g., ST70 instrument or engine interface) and the power to the SeaTalk bus to ensure it is operating correctly. If a software mismatch between equipment may prevent communication, contact Raymarine technical support.

If instrument or other system data is missing from some but not all Raymarine Media Converter displays, it's likely a network issue. Ensure all required equipment is connected to the network and check the status of the Raymarine network Switch. Also, make sure that SeaTalkhs/ RayNet cables are free from damage. If a software mismatch between equipment may prevent communication, contact Raymarine technical support.

Why does Raymarine Measuring Instruments show dashes on the display?
    • J
      Jessica BryanAug 10, 2025
Dashes on the display might appear because the wind data is set to ‘True’ wind, but there's no speed through water (STW) data available. Alternatively, there could be a connection problem with the wind vane transducer. To resolve this, you can set the wind data to ‘Apparent’ and check if wind data appears. If it does, and you need ‘True’ wind, verify the source of STW data. Also, inspect the cabling for any damage, check the cable junction box (usually at the mast bottom) for damage and corrosion, ensuring connections are clean and secure, repairing or replacing as needed. Check connections to the display or converter and disconnect the wind vane arm and check arm and base connectors for damage and corrosion, ensuring they are clean and secure, repairing or replacing if necessary.

If the data appears incorrect, it may be because the wind vane hasn't been calibrated or has lost its calibration settings. You should re-calibrate the wind vane.
