Cableroutingrequirements
Ensuretheunitismountedinalocationwhichallows
properroutingandconnectionofcables:
•Minimumcablebendradiusof100mm(3.94in)is
requiredunlessotherwisestated.
•Usecablesupportstopreventstressonconnectors.
Warning:Protectunused
cables
Unusedcablesandwiresshouldbe
protectedfromwateringressandfrom
makingcontactwithmetalthatmaybe
grounded.
•Ifsupplied,useprotectivebootstoensure
thatcablesthatarenotconnectedare
protected.
•NEVERleavebareendedwires
uncovered/unprotectedasthiscould
causeashortcircuitandcaninduce
galvaniccorrosion.
Electricalinterference
Selectalocationthatisfarenoughawayfrom
devicesthatmaycauseinterference,suchasmotors,
generatorsandradiotransmitters/receivers.
Powersupply
Selectalocationthatisascloseaspossibletothe
vessel’sDCpowersupply.Thiswillhelptokeepcable
runstoaminimum.
