If you n eed to change the setting, increase the AutoTrim one level at a time and
use t he
lowest
acceptabl e v alue:
• decrease the AutoT rim level if the SmartPilot gives unstable course keeping or
excessive drive activity with a chan ge in the heel angle
• increase the A utoTrim level i f th e SmartPi lot react s slowly to a headin g
chang e due to a chang e in the heel angle
• if the A utoT rim level is too high, the boat will be less stable and snake around
the d esired co urse
Note:
TillerPilot (and gyro upgraded WheelPilot) systems have a ‘FastTrim’ feature within
AutoTrim . Select
AUTO T RIM OF F
to turn off Fas tTrim as well as AutoTrim.
Response level
This sets the default SmartPilot response level setting. The response level controls
the relation ship between course k eeping accuracy and the amount of helm/drive
activity . Y ou can mak e temporary changes to response during normal operation
(see your
Operating Gui de
for details).
