Why my rec tec grill won't turn on?
    • M
      Mary ProctorJul 31, 2025
If your Rec Tec Grill isn't turning on, there are a couple of things to check. First, ensure the grill is properly plugged into a functioning GFCI outlet and that the outlet hasn't tripped. If the grill light is working, but the grill still won't power on, the fuse on the circuit board might be blown and needs replacing.

What to do if rec tec grill will not heat to proper temperature?
    • T
      Tara NashAug 6, 2025
If your Rec Tec Grill isn't heating up properly, there are a few potential causes. Make sure that the hopper has enough pellets. Also, check the burn pot for obstructions or excessive ash accumulation. Ash build-up in the burn pot can also cause this issue, so clear it out as needed.

The ER-2 error message on your Rec Tec Grill means the grill hasn’t ignited within 20 minutes. Here's what you should do: 1. Check that the pellet hopper isn’t empty. 2. Make sure pellets are being delivered to the fire pot. 3. Light with the lid open. If it still fails, use Manual Start up steps.
