The cover is push fit – Please feel free to add additional fixings or fasteners as site conditions dictate.
The Battery Unit has two functions:
A) Continuous use upon mains failure
Or
B) To hold the door open upon mains failure
For Option A – Continuous - you only need to turn on the Battery Backup by pressing the ON button once (A)
For Option B – You must wire from the relay on the Battery Unit to the SSK – When the mains fails the battery will take
over but also it will close the relay thus triggering the DFA to stand open.
See wiring diagram below - connecting the relay to the DFA 127.
Volume
When the mains supply has cut off the battery unit will take over in approximately 3 seconds.
Once this has happened the system will beep every 5 seconds to tell the customer that the mains has failed. You can
set the volume to: low, high or mute by moving the jumper up / down or removing it as below:
