8 - HOT AIR DUCTING CONNECTING
PRIMULA/ORCHIDEA MODEL MULTIAIR
Once the stove is set in place, the hot air piping can be installed.
As a rst step, select the air volume that you wish to leave the front part and rear part of the stove.
This simple operation is implemented by actin on the mechanical lever under the hopper cover (Figure 9). The more it is opened, the more
air will exit the front part and less from the rear and vice versa.
More details are found in Figure 10 which indicates the distribution of the hot air between the two outlets (front and rear) at maximum
ventilation output and considering one duct.
Do not adjust the air distribution with the lever while the stove is on or without the guards: RISK OF BURNS. The
metal parts close to the lever can reach a temperature of 80°C.
Once the deector is adjusted, connect the rear hot air output ange to the duct and the nozzle. The rear hot air outlet has a diameter of
80 mm. However, the pipe inserted in the wall must be adequately insulated in order not to disperse heat and soundproof the released air.
In the case of double ducts (two hot air outlet nozzles), it is recommended for the lengths of the pipes to be similar
to distribute the air evenly, otherwise the latter will give priority to the shortest or the simplest duct. The maximum
ducting allowed is 4 metres.
Below (Figure 9) is a simple ducting example seen from the front of the stove.
