Why does my REDCAT Kaiju turn to the side automatically?
    • M
      Mark WalshAug 21, 2025
If your REDCAT Motorized Toy Car turns to the side automatically, it could be due to several reasons. First, try adjusting the transmitter steering trim. If that doesn't work, check the servo horn and replace it if it's worn or stripped. Stripped servo gears can also cause this, so consider replacing the servo. Lastly, too much toe-out in the front wheels can cause this issue; adjust the steering linkage to lessen the toe amount.

If your REDCAT Motorized Toy Car moves without any throttle input, it could be that the throttle trim is not set properly, so set the transmitter throttle trim. Another possibility is that you did not follow the proper start-up instructions, so follow the Quick Start Guide for the correct start-up sequence.

Why does my REDCAT Kaiju Motorized Toy Car steer to the left when I steer to the right?
    • J
      Jodi WadeAug 30, 2025
If your REDCAT Motorized Toy Car steers to the left when you steer to the right, the steering reverse on the transmitter might be set incorrectly, so set the steering reverse on the transmitter. Alternatively, if you are driving towards yourself, it might just seem like it's backwards; in this case, practice driving the vehicle to get used to steering with different vehicle orientations.

      rhondahaynesSep 1, 2025
If the motor in your REDCAT Motorized Toy Car suddenly stops working but the steering still functions, it's possible that the LVC (Low Voltage Cutoff) protection or the thermal protection has been activated. Check the battery voltage and the ESC temperature. Allow the system to cool down and recharge the battery.

Why does my REDCAT Kaiju motor accelerate suddenly, stutter, or stop during start-up?
    • M
      Michael WelchSep 5, 2025
If your REDCAT Motorized Toy Car's motor accelerates suddenly, stutters, or stops during the starting-up process, it could be due to several reasons. First, the discharge capacity of the pack might be insufficient, so use another pack with better discharge capability. Second, the RPM might be too high, or the gear ratio or final drive ratio might be incorrect, so use a stock motor, stock gearing, and don’t pull heavy loads. Finally, the gear mesh might be too tight, so reset the gear mesh.

What to do if my REDCAT Kaiju's LiPo battery won't recharge after running the vehicle?
    • D
      Daniel MccallSep 7, 2025
If the LiPo battery of your REDCAT Motorized Toy Car won't recharge after use, it could be that the ESC is set to NiMH battery and the LiPo battery was discharged below the safe level, so refer to the ESC Guide and set the ESC to LiPo battery. Another possibility is that you have a bad LiPo battery, so properly dispose of the LiPo battery, as it is no longer safe to use. You can replace the LiPo battery with a fully charged, brand new battery, and dispose of the bad battery according to your local laws.

    • F
      fnguyenSep 9, 2025
If the ESC of your REDCAT Motorized Toy Car will not power on, even with the ON/OFF switch turned ON, it could be that no power is being supplied to the ESC, so check if all ESC connections are well soldered and firmly connected. If the connections are good, the ESC switch may be damaged.
