Assembly & Setup:
The manual provides clear instructions for assembly, including fixing the folding clip, aligning handlebars, inserting screws, and checking power and display functionality.
Powering Up:
To turn on, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. The light can be turned on by a single press of the power button.
Starting to Ride:
- Ensure sufficient battery charge.
- Kick off with one foot.
- Once moving, press the throttle to engage the electric motor.
Braking & Turning:
- Slowing down: Release the throttle to engage the energy recovery system.
- Stopping faster: Apply gradual pressure to the brake lever.
- Turning: Lean the body slightly into the turn direction while gradually moving the handlebars.
Folding & Carrying:
The scooter can be folded by loosening the lock lever and pulling it down. Once folded, a clip attaches to the rear wheel mudguard for secure carrying. It should be carried by the locked front pole.
Safety Recommendations:
- Always follow local laws and regulations regarding electric scooters.
- Wear safety equipment (helmet, knee pads, gloves).
- Be vigilant of pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles; maintain appropriate speed and distance.
- Reduce speed when passing pedestrians and use the bell.
- Do not lend the scooter to inexperienced riders without proper instruction and safety gear.
- Inspect the scooter before each use for damage, flat tyres, or abnormal sounds.
Prevent Dangerous Riding:
- Avoid riding in rain, on high-speed roads, or motorways.
- Bend knees slightly on rough terrain (5-10 km/h recommended).
- Do not ride through doorways or add speed when descending hills.
- Do not press the speed button while walking alongside the scooter.
- Avoid potholes, drains, tramlines, and other obstacles.
- Do not attach heavy objects to the handlebar pole.
- Keep both feet on the scooter while moving.
- Do not tread on the rear mudguard.
- Do not touch the drum brake (can get very hot).
- Keep both hands on the handlebars.
- Do not ride up/down steps or jump over obstacles.
- Never ride with more than one person.
- Avoid driving through puddles.
Maintenance Features
Cleaning & Storing:
- Cleaning: Cover the charging port before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth for marks/mud; a small brush for excess mud. Wipe dry after cleaning.
- Avoid: Do not use alcohol, petrol, kerosene, chemical solvents, or corrosive solutions. Do not use pressurized water.
- Storage: Store in a dry, cool place. Avoid extreme temperatures to prevent rapid ageing of the scooter body, wheels, and battery.
Battery Maintenance:
- Only use the provided REEL charger.
- Do not use batteries from other brands.
- Do not open or disassemble the battery.
- Charge the scooter after each use to prolong its lifespan.
- Do not store the battery where temperatures exceed 30°C or are below 0°C (e.g., in a car during summer).
- Never leave the battery near a fire; lithium-ion batteries are highly flammable.
- High temperatures can cause overheating and fire.
- If unused for up to 30 days, charge the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.
- Do not leave the battery uncharged for over 60 days, as this jeopardizes battery health and can lead to failure (not covered by warranty).
- Scooter performance decreases below 0°C; at -20°C, the range can be halved or less.
- A fully charged battery has a standby time of 120-180 days.
- The smart chip records charging history; failure to fully charge can damage the battery and make it unchargeable (not covered by warranty).
- Caution: Unauthorized dismantling can cause electric shock or serious injury due to the short circuit system.
Minor Adjustments:
- Handlebars: If steering is misaligned, use the provided Allen key to tighten the two screws near the folding mechanism.
- Brake Sensitivity:
- Too sensitive: Loosen screws anti-clockwise with an Allen key to relieve tension.
- Needs more sensitivity: Tighten screws clockwise with an Allen key.
