Function Description:

The Remington G3 Graphite Series Personal Groomer is an all-in-one grooming solution. It is equipped with various attachments to cater to different grooming needs, including:

  • Wide Trimmer: Used for general hair clipping and beard trimming.
  • Adjustable Comb: Attaches to the wide trimmer for setting various hair lengths, ranging from 4mm to 20mm, for hair clipping and beard trimming.
  • Fixed Guide Combs: Includes 1.5mm and 3mm combs for precise stubble and body hair maintenance.
  • Detail Trimmer: Ideal for tidying beard edges and creating contoured lines.
  • Nose, Ear, Eyebrow Trimmer: Specifically designed for safely removing unwanted hair from the nose, ears, and eyebrows.
  • Precision Trimmer: Features Trim Shave Technology to achieve a micro stubble finish (0.2mm) and for precision trimming of beard hair.

The groomer operates cordless for up to 40 minutes on a full charge, providing flexibility and convenience during use.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model Number: PG3000
  • Type Number: PG03A
  • Charging Time: 16 hours for the first use, and every 6 months to preserve battery life.
  • Cordless Usage Time: Up to 40 minutes on a full charge.
  • Charger: For recharging the battery, only use the charger supplied with the appliance – type reference PA-04701U (UK).
  • Batteries: Contains non-replaceable batteries.
  • Length Settings (Adjustable Comb): Up to 20mm for hair clipping, with specific settings for different areas (e.g., 4mm or 6mm for nape of the neck, 12mm or 18mm for back of the head).
  • Fixed Comb Lengths: 1.5mm and 3mm.
  • Precision Trimmer Output: 0.2mm micro stubble finish.

Usage Features:

The groomer is designed for ease of use with intuitive controls and attachment mechanisms.

Charging:

Before initial use, the trimmer requires a 16-hour charge. The charging indicator light illuminates during charging. The device cannot be overcharged. For extended storage (2-3 months), unplug it from the mains. To maintain battery life, it is recommended to let the batteries run out every 6 months and then recharge for 16 hours.

Attachments:

Attachments are fitted and removed by rotating them anti-clockwise to unlock and lifting them off, or by placing them on top of the device and rotating clockwise to lock them into place (refer to FIG. A in the manual).

  • Fixed Guide Combs: Hook the front over the wide trimmer teeth and press the back down until it clicks. To remove, lift the tab on the back.
  • Adjustable Comb: Line up the rails with the groomer's slots and slide downwards. To adjust length, press and hold the adjustment button on the back and slide the comb up or down. The length of cut is indicated by a scale on the side of the trimmer.

Grooming Instructions:

  • General Preparation: Comb facial hair before trimming. Trim hair in the direction of growth for maximum height and consistent direction. Hair should be dry and free from waxes or lotions. If hair builds up, switch off the unit, remove attachments, and clean clippings.
  • 3-Day Stubble and Body Hair Maintenance:
    • 3-day stubble look: Let stubble grow slightly longer than desired. Use the 1.5mm fixed comb with the wide trimmer, running it against hair growth. Tidy edges with the precision trimmer. For more control, use the adjustable comb, starting at a longer setting and incrementally reducing length.
    • Body hair maintenance: Let hair grow slightly longer than desired. Use the 3mm fixed comb with the wide trimmer, running it against hair growth.
  • Hair Clipping:
    • Nape of the neck: Fit wide trimmer and adjustable comb (4mm or 6mm). Hold clipper with blade teeth pointing upwards, starting at the center of the head at the base of the neck. Lift clipper slowly upwards and outwards, trimming a little at a time.
    • Back of the head: Set comb at 12mm or 18mm.
    • Side of the head: Adjust comb to shorter length for areas around ears, then increase length to gradually transition to longer hair on top.
    • Top of the head: Adjust comb to longer settings (up to 20mm). Cut hair against its normal growth direction, working from the back of the head.
    • Sideburns: Adjust comb to desired length or use fixed guide combs.
  • Short/Long Beard Trimming: Fit wide trimmer and adjustable comb. Set to desired length. Start trimming under the chin along the jawline, working upwards towards the ear and upper beard line. Tidy edges with the precision trimmer.
  • Contour Edging and Close Hair Cutting:
    • Contour edging: Hold device with cutting blade (teeth) facing you at 90 degrees to the skin. Start at the beard/moustache line, resting blade lightly against skin, using slow controlled movements.
    • Close hair cutting: Lift hair at the base of the neck with one hand, covering roots with index finger. Hold trimmer to the base of the neck with blade facing up, moving it up until it touches your index finger. Move trimmer slowly, keeping hair roots out of the way.
  • Detailed Nose, Eyebrow, and Ear Hair Trimming:
    • Nose and ear: Fit nose, ear, eyebrow trimmer. Insert gently into nostril or ear (not more than 6mm). Move attachment in and out while rotating the groomer.
    • Eyebrow: Guide attachment to remove stray or longer hairs. For complete removal, let attachment touch skin and move over the area.
  • Micro Stubble and Precision Trimming:
    • Micro stubble: Fit precision trimmer. Hold attachment so the guide on the lower edge of the blade contacts the skin (like a wet razor) to stretch the skin. Use motions similar to wet shaving.
    • Precision trimming: Hold precision trimmer perpendicular to the skin. Move it towards or away from beard hair to achieve desired result, using gentle pressure and controlled movements.

Maintenance Features:

Proper care ensures long-lasting performance.

  • After Each Use:
    • Brush accumulated hairs from the groomer and attachment heads.
    • The easiest and most hygienic way to clean the groomer is by detaching the head from the groomer body and rinsing the head with warm water. The groomer body should not be rinsed.
    • Place one or two drops of cutter oil or sewing machine oil on the blades.
    • Turn the clipper on to distribute the oil evenly, then wipe off any excess oil.
  • Battery Removal (for disposal):
    • It is strongly recommended that a professional removes the rechargeable battery due to sharp edges and potential injury.
    • The rechargeable battery must be removed before the appliance is scrapped.
    • Disconnect the charging adapter before removal.
    • Ensure the device is fully discharged by switching it on and letting it run until it stops.
    • Using a suitable tool, carefully pry apart the front and rear halves of the case at the joint line.
    • Cut the tabs holding the battery to the circuit board.
    • Used batteries must be disposed of at an appropriate official recycling/collection point.
    • Do not attempt to operate the shaver once opened.

Environmental Responsibility:

The product is marked with recycling symbols, indicating that appliances and rechargeable/non-rechargeable batteries should not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste. They should be disposed of at an appropriate official recycling/collection point to avoid environmental and health problems.
