      Several factors can prevent your Remington Trimmer engine from starting. It could be due to: * An empty fuel tank: Refill it with properly mixed fuel. * Insufficient priming: Press the primer bulb 10 times or until fuel is visible. * A flooded engine: Move the choke lever to Position 3, squeeze the throttle control, and pull the starter rope. * Old or improperly mixed fuel: Drain the tank and add fresh, properly mixed fuel. * A fouled spark plug: Replace the spark plug.

      If the cutting head of your Remington Trimmer isn't advancing the line, it could be due to: * The cutting head being bound with grass: Stop the engine and clean the cutting head. * The cutting head being out of line: Refill the cutting head with new line. * The inner reel being bound up: Clean the inner reel and outer spool. * A dirty cutting head: Open the cutting head and remove the welded section. * The line being welded: Rewind the line. * The line being twisted: Stop the unit, push the bump knob, and pull the line until 4 inches (102 mm) is outside of the cutting head. * Not enough line being extended: Clean and thoroughly dry the cutting head.
