  If your Remington Trimmer battery isn't charging, first ensure the battery charger is properly plugged into a 120V 60Hz AC outlet. Next, verify the battery is fully inserted into the charger. If the battery or charger is too hot or cold, move them to an environment between 32° and 104° F (0° and 40° C) and allow them to adjust. If the issue persists, the battery or charger may be defective; refer to the Warranty section for replacement details.

  If the motor on your Remington Trimmer isn't running, ensure the battery is fully charged. If the battery is low, charge it completely. Also, check that the battery is correctly installed; remove and then reinstall it. Finally, confirm that you are pressing and holding the trigger lockout before squeezing the trigger.

What to do if the cutting head will not advance line on my Remington Trimmer?

  If the cutting head on your Remington Trimmer won't advance the line, stop the motor, remove the battery, and clean the cutting head. If necessary, open the cutting head and clean inside. If the cutting head is out of line, stop the motor, remove the battery, and refill the cutting head with new line. If the line is twisted or bound up, stop the motor, remove the battery, remove the line, then refill the cutting head with line. If not enough line is extended, stop the motor, remove the battery and allow the unit to cool. Push the bump knob and pull the line until 4 inches (102 mm) is outside of the cutting head.
