FUSES

Fuse box 2
If an electrical component fails to
operate, before making further
investigations check that the fuses
are sound. Also make sure that the
faulty component is correctly
connected. In the event of a short
circuit, unscrew one of the wing
nuts on the battery terminals to
isolate the battery.
Raise the cover A using the handle 1.
To identify the fuses, refer to the
fuse allocation label 4 (shown on
thepageopposite).
It is advisable not to use the free
fuse locations.
Use the tweezers 3 to remove the
fuse.
Toremovethefusefromthe
tweezers, slide the fuse to the side.
A sensible precaution:
obtain a box of spare bulbs and
fuses from your Renault Dealer.
Check the fuse in question and replace it if necessary with a fuse of
the same rating.
If a fuse is fitted where the rating is too high, it may cause the
electrical circuit to overheat (risk of fire) in the event of an item of
equipment using an excessive amount of current.
