STARTING/STOPPING THE ENGINE
Starting the engine
Petrol injection
Engine warm or cold
– Run the starter without depress

ing the accelerator pedal,
– Release the key as soon as the
engine starts.

Diesel injection
Cold or warm engine
Turn the ignition key to ignition on
position
M, and hold this position
until the preheating warning light
goes out.
Turn the key to starter position
D
without depressing the accelera

tor pedal. Release the key as soon
as the engine starts.
Stopping the engine
With the engine idling, turn the key back
to the “Stop” position.
Never leave the vehicle un-
attended with the key in the
ignition if there is a child
(or animal) in the vehicle.
With the key in the ignition, he or
