category, at an impact speed equal
to or greater than 50 km/h (31 mph).
In the following examples, the
pretensioners and airbags could
operate :
– impacts to the underside of the
vehicle from kerbs, for example ;
– potholes ;
– a fall or a hard landing ;
– stones ;
In the following examples, the
pretensioners and airbags might not
operate :
– in the event of a rear impact,
however severe ;
– if the vehicle overturns ;
