Procedure for tensioning the timing belt

Tighten the shouldered nut (6) and the bolt (7), then
bring the pinions of tool Mot. 1509 into contact with the
camshaft pulleys by tightening the nuts (8) to a torque
of 8 daNm.
Remove:
– the blanking plate of the inlet camshaft dephaser
using a 14 mm Allen key,
– the nut of the exhaust camshaft pulley,
– the bolt of the inlet camshaft dephaser.
Replacing the inlet camshaft dephaser seal
Fit the seal of the inlet camshaft dephaser using tool
Mot. 1517 and the old bolt (2).
NOTE: to use tool Mot. 1517, it is necessary to modify
the hole to a diameter of 13 mm.
