What to do if Renfert Duomix II does not switch on?
    • B
      Brian DorseySep 4, 2025
If the Renfert Dental equipment does not switch on, check that the power cord is properly connected to the unit. If the power cord is properly seated, replace the fuse. Check that there is power at the wall outlet. If all of these are correct, return the unit for repair.

    • G
      Gabriel McdonaldSep 18, 2025
If the mixing program LEDs are flashing while the unit cover is open on your Renfert Dental equipment, no mixing program is selected. Select the correct mixing program for the casting material (see section 5.1.1)

Why doesn't the mixing nozzle turn on my Renfert Duomix II?
    • J
      Jenny HughesSep 16, 2025
If the mixing nozzle does not turn on your Renfert Dental equipment, first check that the cartridge is properly seated, as the mixer shaft may not have threaded itself. If the issue persists, the material may have hardened in the mixing nozzle, in which case you should install a new nozzle.

Why does Renfert Dental equipment advance stop and perform a relief stroke?
    • M
      Miguel JohnsonSep 14, 2025
If the advance stops for no apparent reason and the unit performs a short relief stroke on your Renfert Dental equipment, the material may have hardened in the cartridge. Use a new mixing nozzle.

Why does the tubular bag burst on my Renfert Duomix II Dental equipment?
    • E
      Erin Smith DVMSep 13, 2025
If the tubular bag bursts or is damaged on your Renfert Dental equipment, the pressure discs may be too worn or damaged, causing the tubular bag to be pinched. Replace the pressure discs (refer to Sec. 6.3). Alternatively, the material may have partially hardened in the cartridge, so replace the cartridge (refer to Sec. 5.1).

Why does advance stop on Renfert Dental equipment and pressure discs return home?
    • T
      Tammy HahnSep 12, 2025
If the advance stops for no apparent reason and the pressure discs return to their home position on your Renfert Dental equipment, it may be because the controller has detected an overload. Ensure the impression material is not too cold by referring to the manufacturer’s processing instructions. Another cause could be that the material has hardened in the cartridge, so try using a new cartridge. Insufficient spindle lubrication can also cause this issue, so lubricate the spindles with special grease.

Why does my Renfert Duomix II Dental equipment unit automatically reduce extrusion speed?
    • R
      Rachael JenkinsSep 9, 2025
If the Renfert Dental equipment unit automatically reduces the extrusion speed, this often indicates that the unit detects a highly viscous or cold impression material, which leads to an automatic reduction in the feed rate and mixer rotary speed. Refer to the manufacturer’s processing instructions regarding processing temperature. It may also be due to contamination in the cartridge holder, so clean the inner surfaces of the cartridge holder and pressure plate. Insufficient spindle lubrication could also be the cause, so lubricate the spindles with special grease. Finally, ensure that you observe at least a 5-minute pause time.

    • M
      Michelle ValentineSep 7, 2025

Why won't the pressure discs move on my Renfert Duomix II?
    • M
      Melissa BakerSep 5, 2025
If the pressure discs will not move and the Unit cover LED is on or flashes on your Renfert Dental equipment, the unit cover may not be properly closed. Close the unit cover and check that the cartridges are properly seated. If required, seat cartridges correctly.

Why does my Renfert Dental equipment reduce extrusion speed?
    • T
      Thomas SimmonsAug 21, 2025
If the Renfert Dental equipment automatically reduces the extrusion speed, this may be because the unit detects a highly viscous impression material, and it automatically reduces the feed rate and mixer rotary speed. This often happens if the material is highly viscose or cold. Refer to the manufacturer’s processing instructions for processing temperature. Also, check for contamination (e.g. debris) in the cartridge holder and clean the inner surfaces of the cartridge holder and pressure plate. Insufficient spindle lubrication may be the cause, so lubricate the spindles with special grease. Finally, ensure you observe the pause time of at least 5 minutes intermission.
