12. Maintenance
Regularly check the technical safety of the eect spotlight, e.g. for damage to the mains cable or the
casing.
If you have reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immediately
and make sure it is not operated unintentionally. Pull the mains plug from the mains socket!
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
the device is visibly damaged
the device no longer works
the device has been stored under unfavourable conditions for an extended period of time or
after exposure to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the eect spotlight:
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or components are removed.
The device must be disconnected from all power sources before any servicing or repair work is
carried out.
Capacitors inside the device may still carry voltage even though they have been disconnected
from all power sources.
Only qualified experts familiar with the hazards involved and the relevant regulations must per
-
form repairs.
a) Cleaning
The outside of the eect light should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
Never use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surface of the
casing.
b) Fuse Replacement
If you have to replace the fuse, ensure that you only use fuses of the specified type and rated current (see
„Technical Data“) as a replacement
Never repair fuses or bridge the fuse holder.
Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket and disconnect the low-voltage cable from the mains
connection (1) at the device.
Using a suitable screwdriver, carefully open the fuse holder with the faulty fuse next to the mains con
-
nection.
Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a new fuse of the indicated type.
Carefully push the fuse holder with the new fuse back into its position at the mains connection of the
device.
After this, you can reconnect the device to the mains and take it into operation.
