Parking the vehicle
When parking the vehicle with automatic transmission, move the selector lever to position “P” and apply the parking brake.
Brake booster
This vehicle is equipped with a brake booster. It amplifies the pressure that you generate with the brake pedal. The brake booster only works when the engine
is running.
Braking in curves and on slippery road surfaces (without ABS)
Sharp braking or locking of the wheels in curves must be avoided at all costs, as otherwise controlled steering or turn-in is no longer possible. The driving style
must always be adapted to the road and weather conditions.
Braking in curves and on non-slip road surfaces (with ABS)
ABS keeps the vehicle on track and steerable when braking, which can increase stopping distance on slippery surfaces.
Please note that the vehicle only has a reduced braking effect when the engine is switched off. You must then press the brake pedal significantly harder than
usual!
