Removing the “Winter-Cover”
The leg cover, which is standard on the Touring model, can be removed without tools if necessary.
The right and left sides of the leg cover are each fastened to the side impact protection with two stainless steel clips and additionally fixed with one knurled screw
each.
For disassembly, first loosen the screw (1) and then carefully push the clamps (2) upwards. For subsequent reassembly, proceed in reverse order.
If you loosen the clamps too roughly or even pull the leg protection upwards, it can hit other parts. This can cause damage to paint parts or other parts.
If you intend to ride with the leg guards fitted, check that they are correctly fitted and that all screws are tight before riding.
