The main valve itself might be defective. If you measure 24V power at the valve connections and it remains closed, replace the valve. 3. Loose wire connections can prevent the valve from opening. Check and tighten all wiring connections. 4. The flame sensor might be grounded, causing the spark to continue even after the pilot lights.
