Why won't the venter motor start on my Reznor Furnace?
    • C
      Corey RamirezAug 17, 2025
If the venter motor on your power-vented Reznor Furnace won't start, it could be due to several reasons: * No power to the furnace: Turn the power on and check the supply fuses or circuit breaker. * No 24V power to the venter relay: Turn up the thermostat, check the control transformer output, and inspect for loose or improper wire connections. * A defective venter relay: Replace the relay. * A defective motor or capacitor: Replace the defective part.

Why is my Reznor Furnace running but not producing heat?
    • S
      Sarah RobinsonAug 23, 2025
If your Reznor Furnace is running but there's no heat, it could be due to: * Dirty filters in the blower system: Clean or replace the filters. * Incorrect manifold pressure or orifice(s): Check the manifold pressure. * Cycling on limit control: Check air throughput. * Improper thermostat location: Refer to the thermostat manufacturer's instructions. * Belt slipping on blower: Adjust the belt tension.

What to do if my Reznor RG Furnace blows cold air on startup?
    • L
      Larry LiuAug 29, 2025
If you're experiencing cold air on startup during operation with your Reznor Furnace, here are a few possible causes: * The fan control might be improperly wired: Ensure that the wiring is in accordance with the wiring diagram. * The fan control could be defective: Replace the fan control. * The manifold pressure might be incorrect: Check the manifold pressure. * The blower could be set for too low a temperature rise: Slow down the blower or increase static pressure.

How to fix a Reznor Furnace when the pilot won't light?
    • P
      Paul ChangNov 3, 2025
If your Reznor Furnace pilot will not light (and the venter is operating on power-vented models), consider these potential causes: * The manual valve might not be open; open it. * There may be air in the gas line; bleed the gas line. * The pilot orifice could be dirty; remove and clean it using compressed air or solvent, but do not ream it. * The gas pressure might be too high or too low; adjust the supply pressure. * The pilot tubing could be kinked; replace the tubing. * The pilot valve may not be opening; if 24V power is available at the valve, replace it. * Loose wire connections; ensure all wire connections are solid. * Transformer failure; ensure that 24V power is available. * Incorrect spark gap; maintain the spark gap at 7/64-inch. * Shorted spark cable; replac...

What to do if the pilot light is on but the main valve does not open on my Reznor Furnace?
    • N
      Nicholas FloresNov 9, 2025
If the pilot light is on, but the main valve on your Reznor Furnace won't open, there could be several reasons: 1. The manual valve might not be open. Ensure it is fully open. 2. The main valve itself might be defective. If you measure 24V power at the valve connections and it remains closed, replace the valve. 3. Loose wire connections can prevent the valve from opening. Check and tighten all wiring connections. 4. The flame sensor might be grounded, causing the spark to continue even after the pilot lights. Make sure the flame sensor lead isn't grounded and replace it if necessary, also check for cracks in the insulation or ceramic and replace if found. 5. Incorrect gas pressure can also be the issue. For natural gas, set the supply pressure between 5–8 IN WC. For propane, set it a...
