The Rheem-Ruud Point-of-Use Electric Commercial Water Heater is designed to provide hot water directly at the point of consumption, minimizing heat loss associated with long piping runs. These compact units are suitable for installation in limited spaces such as under counters, in mop sinks, cabinets, or other remote areas where modest quantities of hot water are required. They are ideal for applications in retail stores, public restrooms, office washrooms, kitchens, and mop or bar sinks.
The water heater operates by heating water using electric elements, controlled by a surface-mounted thermostat that automatically cycles on and off to maintain a desired preset water temperature. A temperature limiting control provides a safety feature, automatically cutting off power if the water temperature exceeds 190°F (87.8°C). The heated water is then available for immediate use at the point of demand.
