4.7 Binding unit
This unit binds the book effectively. The movement is driven by a 24V DC motor. The
unit has 2 micro switches, which are responsible for the stopping of the opening and
closing plate. The binding strength is provided by the combination of the motor and
special spring load. To increase or to decrease the strength of the binding the position
of the micro switch has be adjusted by service technician.
It is possible to determine the time period of the pressing of the spine by the adjusting
of the binding time. The binding unit and the carriage clamp release the book
automatically when the time is over, the carriage clamp leaves the binding unit and
the book has to be taken manually away from the binding station. A cover sensor is
installed in this unit, especially in the rear binding plate.
The sensor can be switched on and
off from the control screen.
