Usage Features
The Riley RS2 is designed for ease of use and rider safety.
- Assembly: The scooter requires minimal assembly, involving pulling up the stem, securing a clip, connecting two wires, and attaching the headset with screws.
- Starting and Riding: To start, press the POWER button for two seconds. Riders should place one foot on the base plate, push off with the strong leg, and then balance both feet on the scooter once momentum is gained. The throttle is used to accelerate, and the brake lever, assisted by lightly stepping on the rear fender, is used to slow down or stop.
- Riding Modes: Riders can switch between Beginner, Normal, and Sports modes using the function button, indicated by the gear display (no indicator for Beginner, white for Normal, red for Sports).
- Headlights/Tail Lights: Pressing the power button twice turns the headlights on/off; tail lights are always on.
- Folding: The scooter can be folded by pushing/sliding a button up, pulling a clip away from the stem while pushing the stem down, folding the stem towards the rear, and aligning the hook with the fender clip until it clicks.
- Detachable Battery: The battery can be uninstalled by pushing in and holding the battery clip, then pushing the battery up and pulling it out horizontally. To install, insert the battery horizontally while pushing the clip in, then release the clip and push the battery down until secure.

Maintenance Features
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of the Riley RS2.
- Pre-ride Checks: Before riding, check tyres for damage and ensure all fixings are tight.
- Brake System and Tyres: Check the brake system and tyres at least once a month as they are sensitive parts. Impaired braking or tyre grip requires contacting a local dealer or Riley Support for replacement parts.
- Cleaning: Wipe the shell with a soft damp cloth. Regular cleaning minimizes dust and dirt buildup, which can impact performance. Do not clean with a jet wash or by soaking in water, as this will cause permanent damage.
- Battery Charging: Always ensure the charging port cover is open, clean, and dry before connecting the charger. Connect the charger to the battery and then to a power source (100V-240V; 50/60Hz). The charging light will be on, and charging is complete when the indicator turns green. After charging, cover the port with the dustproof rubber.
- Battery Safety: Do not disassemble the battery. In case of a leak or overheating, do not use or charge it and contact support. Keep the battery out of reach of children. Always unplug the charger before installing the battery or riding. Charge and use the battery within the specified temperature range for optimal efficiency. The battery contains dangerous substances; do not open it or insert anything into it. Dispose of exhausted batteries at an approved recycle centre. Do not charge the battery at high temperatures or in a high-temperature environment. Only use the original charging equipment.
- Storage: Charge the e-scooter before storing it, and ensure it is charged at least once every three months. Store the scooter indoors in a dry place at an appropriate temperature. If the storage temperature is below 0°C, do not charge the e-scooter.
- Warranty: To protect the user's safety and maintain the product warranty, do not take the e-scooter apart.
The Riley RS2 is a comprehensive electric scooter solution, combining robust specifications with user-centric design and a strong emphasis on safety and environmental responsibility.
