  The possible causes for no heat, cool, or fan are: * A blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker: Replace the fuse or reset the breaker. * Furnace power switch is OFF: Turn the switch to ON. * Furnace blower compartment door panel is loose or not properly installed: Replace the door panel in the proper position to engage the safety interlock or door switch. * Loose connection to the thermostat or system: Tighten the connections.

  If the heat, cool, or fan runs constantly, there might be a short in the wiring, thermostat, or the system itself. Check each wire connection to make sure they aren't shorted or touching other wires. You can also try resetting the thermostat. If the problem continues, contact your HVAC service person.

What to do if the “Call for Service” icon appears on my Rinnai Brivis 1F83C-11PRBR Thermostat display?

  The "Call for Service" icon may appear on the display for several reasons: 1. ) The heating system cannot heat the space to within 10 degrees of the setpoint within 2 hours: See corrective action for “No Heat”. 2. ) The cooling system cannot cool the space to within 10 degrees of the setpoint within 2 hours: See corrective action for “No Cool”. 3. ) If “--” is displayed for the Room Temperature, a replacement thermostat is needed: Replace the thermostat. 4. ) None of the buttons operate on the thermostat: Make sure keypad lockout is not turned on (denoted by icon).
