What to do if RKI Instruments 65-2340RKSS Transmitter shows a fail condition?
    • S
      Sandra BrennanAug 1, 2025
If your RKI Instruments Transmitter shows a fail condition, check the following: ensure the transmitter wiring is correctly connected and secure. Also, confirm that the plug-in sensor is properly installed in the detector housing. Perform a zero (fresh air) adjustment; a full calibration is also recommended. If the fail condition persists, the plug-in sensor may need replacement.

Why is my RKI Instruments 65-2340RKSS slow to respond or difficult to calibrate?
    • L
      Lisa EvansAug 16, 2025
A slow response or difficulty in calibrating your RKI Instruments Transmitter can occur for several reasons. First, verify that the calibration cylinder contains an adequate supply of a fresh test sample. Next, confirm that you are using the correct calibration cup and regulator for your detector type. Check the plug-in sensor face and remove any particulate contamination, if present. Finally, verify that the calibration gas concentration is appropriate for the transmitter; the concentration should be in the detection range, preferably about half of the detection range. If the issue continues, the plug-in sensor may need replacing.
