Remove the reel from the starter case as shown
in
Fig.
9-3.
Take out the reel slowly turning it lightly
towards the left and right
to
remove spring
from the hook.
Do
not remove the reel quickly
or the spring may escape from the starter case.
Untie the starter rope from the knob and remove.

REASSEMBLE
(1)
Put
the starter rope through the starter knob
and tie it
as
shown in Fig.
9-4.
(Tie the rope
tightly for the safety sake.)
Put the opposite side
of
the rope through the
starter case and reel. Tie
it
in the same way
as
the starter knob end and put the
knot
in the reel
completely.
(2)
Check that the spring is securely set in the reel.
Adjust
the position
of
inner end
of
the spring
so
it hooks on hook in the starter case securely.
The shape of starter spring inner end may be
adjusted with
a
plier
if
necessary.
