14. Warranty and service
Batteries
As an end user, you are legally obliged to return all empty / defective batteries
and rechargeable batteries (Battery Ordinance). Disposal in the household
garbage is prohibited! Contaminated batteries / rechargeable batteries are
marked with symbols that indicate the prohibition of disposal in the household
waste. The designations for the crucial heavy metal are:
Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
You can return your empty / defective batteries / rechargeable batteries free of
charge to the collection points of your municipality or wherever batteries /
rechargeable batteries are sold.
Disposal of Electronic Waste
Electronic waste is a commodity and must be disposed through special
electronic waste sites. Please inform yourself about adequate facilities in
your community area. Disposal of this product through domestic waste is
illegal.
