Turning On/Off Transmis-
sionof MIDI During
Recorder Playback
When the setting shown below is turned "Оп," you
get the performance information for your recordings
to be transmitted from MIDI OUT while playback
takes place. This conveniently allows you to have any
connected sound generating units also play a piece
you have recorded.

While holding these down,
press the key for either
“On” or “Off.”

* Each time power is turned on this setting will always be at “Off.”

Messages On and Off
When the setting shown below is switched to "Off,"
Damper messages (Hold 1: Control Change No. 64)
will no longer be transmitted when a pedal connected
to the ep-5 is depressed. Also, should any external
device send Damper messages, they will have no
effect: sounds playing on the ep-5 will not be sus-
tained.
