11. HH CTRL

* Before entering this test item, connect the foot pedal (FD-8, etc.) to the
HH CTRL jack.
1. Slowly and gradually depress the foot pedal, and verify that the on-
screen value decreases a little at a time.
OPEN OK! determination is made when a value of 699 through 854 is
detected.
2. Depress the foot pedal further, and verify that the on-screen value
decreases.
CLOSE OK! determination is made when a value less than 84 is
detected, and execution advances to the next test item.
12. TRIG IN (for PADSW)

* Before entering this test item, connect the FS-5 (2) to the FOOT SW jack.
1. Depress the FS-5U connected to the white section of the PCS-31.
The information displayed under HEAD SW on the screen changes from
H to -.
2. Depress the FS-5U connected to the red section of the PCS-31.
The information displayed under RIM SW on the screen changes from R
to -.
When correct detection occurs, execution advances to the next test item.
13. MUTE

1. Press F1, and verify that the volume of the sound from the monitor
speakers and the headphones are lowered.
* The sound does not disappear completely.
2. Press F3 (NEXT) to advance to the next test item.

The operation of each device is tested automatically.
Test Items
CPU MODE: Connector status for setting of the CPU mode
FLSH PROG: Checksum match, read/write
FLSH WAVE: Checksum match, read/write
SDRAM: Read/Write
DSP ERAM: Read/Write
USB MEM: Connection check
USB COMP: Connection check
1. Using the USB cable, connect the HI-SPEED USB COMPUTER connector
and the HI-SPEED USB MEMORY connector.
The USB COMP: -- or NG displayed on the screen changes to OK.
2. Disconnect the USB cable and connect the USB memory device to the
HI-SPEED USB MEMORY connector.
The USB MEM: -- or NG displayed on the screen changes to OK.
The determination results are displayed to the right of respective items.
When all are OK, execution advances to the next item.
* The FLSH WAVE check starts simultaneously on entry to the Test Mode, but
depending on how much time testing takes, it may be incomplete, in which case
the message FLSH WAVE: -- is displayed. In such cases, wait until OK (or NG
(“not OK”)) is displayed.
