Turn the Z-adjust screw in the direction
of the arrow to release.
Turn the Z-adjust screw in the direction
of the arrow to lock.
Use a hexagonal wrench (1.5 mm) to
loosen the mounting screws, and replace
the spindle.
Provisionally secure the motor cover in
place.
Remove the cover for the carriage.
(A Phillips screw driver is required.)
Remove the spindle belt and spindle tip.

Motor cover
Secure the motor cover in place.
Take care to ensure that
the motor cover and
spindle cover do not
touch.
Tighten the screws to
install the spindle cover
so that it is positioned
at "0."

Switch on the power to the unit and
make sure that the spindle cover is
positioned at "0."
Remove the old spindle motor
and replace with the new motor. If
necessary, also replace the motor
brushes (see the user's manual) and the
spindle belt.
