6.1 Installation
Before connecting a manual release device to an electromagnetic release device, the pressure
cylinder must be xed securely and the discharge hose must be connected to the outlet connection
(A) of the valve.
(1) Remove the protection cap (plastic or brass) from the release device connection (A) of the electromagnetic release
device.
(2) Make sure that there is no dirt, grease or foreign object in the release device connection (A) of the electromagnetic
release device or valve. Clean the release device connection (A) of the electromagnetic release device.
(3) Make sure that the manual release device is not activated.
Before mounting a manual release device, check if the marking on the actuating pin is visible.
If the marking on the actuation pin is visible, the manual release device is activated, and must
be reset.

(1) To deactivate the manual release device, simply press actuation pin. The integrated spring pushes the actuation
pin into the not activated position.
(4) Make sure, that the hand lever

is in the not activated position and secured with the safety pin

.
(5) Screw the manual release device on the release device connection (A) of the electromagnetic release device with a
tightening torque of 50 + 0/-15 Nm.
7 Function test
Perform a function test of the manual release device only if it is not mounted.
(1) Remove the safety pin.
(2) Pull the hand lever down. The marking on the actuation pin is visible.
(3) Reset the manual release device by pressing the actuation pin. The integrated spring pushes the actuation
pin into the not activated position.
8 Maintenance
CEODEUX Extinguisher Valves Technology S.A. will not assume any liability for damages caused
by repairs, replacement, normal wear and tear or for damages occurring in the course of ongoing
maintenance work.
The maintenance is in accordance with ISO 22434.
8.1 General maintenance instructions
Perform a visual inspection at least every 6 months.
(1) Check the manual release device and all connected parts for physical damage, deterioration or corrosion. If any
deterioration or corrosion is visible, replace the damaged parts. Replace all corroded parts.
(2) Remove dirt and dust from the manual release device and all connected parts.
