Lay the motor on the oor
beneath the boat.
Pass a rope down through the hole in
the console from above the deck.
Put something underneath
the boat to hold the motor in
place so you can work on the
top part of it without it falling
back down.
Use this rope to pull the motor cable up through the hole.
Once you have hold of the motor cable above deck you can
use this to pull the motor shaft up into the hole.
