Why Ryobi P650 motor runs but doesn't spray?
    • J
      Jacob BrownAug 16, 2025
If the motor of your Ryobi Paint Sprayer seems to be running properly but isn’t spraying, the suction tube and filter might be loose or damaged, the atomizer valve could be clogged or worn out, the material being sprayed might be too thick, or the spray tip or intake filter could be plugged, or the piston worn. To fix this: * Reinstall or replace the suction tube and filter as needed. * Clean or replace the atomizer valve assembly. * Follow the material manufacturer’s directions and thin the material as needed. * Thoroughly clean the sprayer and, if necessary, replace the piston, using storage cleaning instructions in the Maintenance section of this manual.

    • M
      Michael SnowAug 31, 2025
If the sprayed material is spitting or globbing up when using your Ryobi Paint Sprayer, several factors could be responsible. The paint container volume might be low, the material being sprayed might be too thick, the suction tube could be loose, the atomizer valve might be clogged or worn out, the spray tip or piston might be worn, or the paint may have air pockets from shaking. To address this: * Refill the paint container. * Thin the material as needed, following the manufacturer's directions. * Reinstall the suction tube securely. * Clean or replace the atomizer valve assembly. * Clean or replace the spray tip or piston. * Allow the paint to sit for approximately 1 hour to settle, then try again.
