What to do if the Ryobi RAP200G motor does not run?
    • S
      smithbrentJul 29, 2025
If the Ryobi Paint Sprayer motor isn't running, first ensure the paint station is plugged in and the On/Off switch is in the ON position. Check if the paint station has shut off while under pressure; if so, turn the high/low pressure knob to maximum pressure or release pressure by turning the Prime/Spray lever to Prime. Also, test the power supply voltage and replace the extension cord if it's damaged or has low voltage. If a fuse has blown or the motor is not working properly, it is recommended to contact an Authorized Service Center.

Why does the Ryobi RAP200G Paint Sprayer motor seem to be running properly but pressure drops when pistol-grip is triggered?
    • R
      Robert LewisAug 3, 2025
If the Ryobi Paint Sprayer motor runs but the pressure drops when the pistol-grip is triggered, the reversible spray tip may be worn and needs replacement, or the spray tip might be clogged and needs cleaning by turning it 180° and spraying. Also, check if the suction tube and filter are loose or damaged, requiring reinstallation or replacement. The pistol-grip sprayer filter could be clogged, needing cleaning or replacement. If the material is too thick, follow the manufacturer's directions to thin it. Inspect the inlet valve for damage or wear, and replace if necessary. Finally, ensure the intake tube is tightened.
