CLEANING AIR FILTER SCREEN
See Figures 28 - 29.
For proper performance and long life, keep air lter screen
clean.
n Remove the air lter cover by pushing down on the latch
with your thumb while gently pulling on the cover.
n Brush the air lter screen lightly to clean.
n Replace the air lter cover by inserting the tabs on the
bottom of the cover into the slots on the air lter base;
push the cover up until it latches securely in place.
FUEL CAP
WARNING
A leaking fuel cap is a fire hazard and must be
replaced immediately.
The fuel cap contains a non-ser vice able filter and a
check valve. A clogged fuel lter will cause poor engine
per for mance. If per for mance improves when the fuel cap
is loos ened, check valve may be faulty or lter clogged.
Re place fuel cap if required.
SPARK PLUG REPLACEMENT
This engine uses a Champion RCJ-6Y or NGK BPMR7A
spark plug with .025 in. elec trode gap. Use an exact re-
place ment and replace annually.
STORING THE PRODUCT
n Clean all foreign material from the product. Store idle unit
indoors in a dry, well-ventilated area that is in ac ces si ble
to chil dren. Keep away from cor ro sive agents such as
garden chem i cals and de-icing salts.
n Abide by all ISO and local regulations for the safe
storage and handling of gasoline.
When storing 1 month or longer:
n Drain all fuel from tank into a container ap proved for
gasoline. Run engine until it stops.
