In case of emergency 5-5
On models equipped with the
limited slip differential carrier,
never run the engine with one
rear wheel off the ground. It may
cause the vehicle to move.
Installing wheel
6 Clean any mud or dirt from
the surface between the
wheel and hub.
7 Carefully put the wheel on
and tighten the wheel nuts
finger tight.
8 With the wheel nut wrench,
tighten wheel nuts alternately
and evenly until they are tight.
9 Lower the vehicle slowly until
the tire touches the ground.
Then, with the wheel nut
wrench, tighten the wheel
nuts securely in the sequence
as illustrated.
As soon as possible
tighten the wheel nuts to the
specified torque with a torque
wrench.
Tightening torque of nuts:
118 to 147N.m
(12 to 15kg-m)
Adjust tire pressure to the
COLD pressure.
COLD pressure:
After vehicle has been parked
for three hours or more or
driven less than 1.6 km.
COLD tire pressures are shown
on the tire placard affixed to
the glove box or driver’s side
center pillar.
10 Install the center wheel
cap securely.
11 Securely store the spare
tire and jacking equipment in
the vehicle.
