Installing the wind/snow prevention duct
Installing the outdoor unit around the obstacles
It is necessary to install a wind/snow prevention duct(eld supply) to direct exhaust from the fan horizontally,
when it is dicult to provide a minimum space of 2m between the air outlet and a nearby obstacle.

Installing the outdoor unit in cold region
In cold regions with lots of snowfall, install a snow prevention duct, as a sucient countermeasure, to prevent
snow from accumulating on the outdoor unit. When the snow prevention duct is not installed, frost may
accumulate on the heat exchanger and heating operation may not work normally.
Air outlet of the duct should not be directed to the enclosed space.
Cautions regarding on installing the frame and selecting the base ground
• Height (h) of the frame and the base ground should be higher than the "heaviest expected snowfall".
• Area of the frame and the base ground should not be larger than the are of the outdoor unit. Snow may
accumulate if the area of the frame or the base ground is larger.
