Automatic refrigerant amount detection function (Checking th amount of refrigerant)
Caution
t If the temperature is out of the guaranteed range below, exact result will not be obtained.
- Indoor: 68~89.6 °F (20~32 °C)
- Outdoor: 41~109.4 °F (5~43 °C)
t If the operation cycle is not stable, the operation of refrigerant amount check may be forcibly
nished.
t Accuracy of the result may decrease if the product has not been operated for a long period of
time or heat mode has been operated before running the function of refrigerant amount check.
Therefore, use the function of refrigerant amount check after operating the product in cool
mode for at least 30 minutes.
t Product may trigger system protection operation depending on the installation environment.
In this case, the result of refrigerant amount check may not be accurate.
Actions to take for the check result
t Excessive amount of refrigerant
- Discharge 5% of total amount of refrigerant and restart the refrigerant amount check.
t Insucient amount of refrigerant
- Add 5% of the total amount of refrigerant and restart the refrigerant amount check.
t Insucient degree of supercooling
- Add 10 % of the total amount of refrigerant and restart the refrigerant amount check.
t Judgment not available
- Check if the function of refrigerant amount check is executed within the guaranteed
temperature range. Run trial operation to check if there are other problems on the system.
