ItisthecorepartoftheLBP(LaserBeamPrinter)whichswitchesfromthevideodatareceivedtothecontrollertothe
electrostaticlatentimageontheOPCdrumbycontrollinglaserbeam,exposingOPCdrum,andturningprincipleofpolygon
mirror.TheOPCdrumisturnedwiththepaperfeedingspeed.TheHSYNCsignaliscreatedwhenthelaserbeamfromLSU
reachestheendofthepolygonmirror,andthesignalissenttothecontroller.ThecontrollerdetectstheHSYNCsignalto
adjusttheverticallineoftheimageonpaper.Inotherwords,aftertheHSYNCsignalisdetected,theimagedataissentto
theLSUtoadjusttheleftmarginonpaper.Theonesideofthepolygonmirrorisonelineforscanning.
