Message Options
The following options are available before composing a
message.
1. From a Home screen, touch
Apps
➔
Messaging
.
2. Touch
Menu
and select one of the following
options:
•Search
: Search through all of your messages for a certain
word or string of words. Enter a search string in the Messaging
Search window and touch
Search
.
• Delete threads
: Delete any message thread. Select the
messages to delete and a check mark displays to indicate
selection. Touch
Delete
.
• Draft messages
: Displays the draft messages folder and its
contents.
• Scheduled messages
: Displays any scheduled messages
folder and its contents.
• Locked messages
: Displays the locked messages folder and
its contents.
• Spam messages
: displays the spam messages folder and its
contents.
• Settings
: allows you to access Messaging settings. For more
information, refer to
“Messaging Settings”
on page 81.
The following options are available while replying to a
message or composing a new message:
1. From a Home screen, touch
Apps
➔
Messaging
.
2. Touch the message to which you want to reply.
– or –
Touch
Compose
to compose a new message.
3. Touch
Menu
and select one of the following
options:
•Call
: Call the selected recipient (if a phone number is listed in
Contacts).
• Insert smiley
: Add emoticons, such as a happy face, to your
message.
•Add text
: Copy text from a memo, calendar, location, contacts,
or text templates to add to your message. This is a convenient
feature for adding names, phone numbers, events, and so on,
to your message. For more information, refer to

on page 79.
