4 Connecting the video out to your TV
Choose one of the three methods for connecting to a TV.

METHOD 1
HOMI IN
METHOD 1 : HDMI (BEST QUALITY)
Use this connection for the best quality 1 080p high definition picture with Btu-Ray discs.
Connect an HOM I cable (not supplied) from the HOM I OUT jack on the rear of the product to the HOM! IN jack on your TV.
METHOD 2 : Component Video (BETTER QUALITY)
If your television is equipped with Component Video inputs , connect a Component video cable (not supplied) from the Component Video
Output (Pr , Pb andY) Jacks on the back of the product to the Component Video Input Jacks on your TV.
METHOD 3 : Composite Video (GOOD QUALITY)
Connect the supplied Video cab le from the VIDEO O UT jack on the back of the product to the VIDEO IN jack on your TV .
~ NOTE
• Certain HOM I output resolutions may not work, depending on your TV .
•
If an HOM I cable is connected from the product to a TV, the product's output is se t to HOM I automatically within 10 seconds .
•
If Component and HOMI are both connected, HOM I mode is automa ti cally selected.
• When you connect the product to the TV using th e HOM I cable for the fi r st time or to a new TV, the HOM I output resolution will
be automatically set to the highest provided by the TV.
• If you connect a Samsung TV to the product using an HOM I cable, the product can be easily operated using the TV remote
control. (Th is is only available with Samsung TVs th at support the Anynet+ feature.)
• If the HOM I cable is connected or removed during playback of a CODA, MP 3 or JPEG file, the product will stop playing .

After making the video connect i on , set the Video input source on your TV to match the Corresponding Video output (HOM I,
Component or Composite) on your product.
See your TV owner 's manual for more information on how to se l ect the TV's Video Input source.
• The actual resolution may differ from th e setting in the Settings menu if both Component and HOM I cables are connected.
The resolution may also be different depending on the disc.
If the resolution is s et to 'i' (ex: 480i or 1 080i) , the output is displayed in 30 frames per second and if set to 'p' (ex: 480p, 720p ,
1080p) , it will be displayed in 60 frames per second.
