Mute/pause: Mute incoming calls and pause playback by turning the device screen-side
down. Tap the ON/OFF switch to turn the feature on, and then configure options:
• Placing palm on screen: Covering the screen with your hand will mute the ring of
incoming calls and alarms, and pause media playback.
• Turning device over: Turning the device screen-down will mute the ring of incoming
calls, and pause music playback
• Smart pause: Use the front camera to detect if you are facing the screen, and pause
video playback when you look away.
Palm swipe to capture: When on, you can save a copy of the current screen to the clipboard
by swiping the side of your hand across the screen. Tap the ON/OFF switch to turn the
feature on or off.
Air View
Configure information and actions to appear when hovering the S Pen or your finger over the screen.
1. From a Home screen tap Apps > Settings > Air view.
2. Tap ON/OFF to turn the feature on.
3. Configure the following settings:
Air view mode: Choose whether to activate Air view for the S Pen, your finger, or both.
Air view pen options: Select what is shown when you hover the S Pen over items on the
screen.
• Information preview: Preview information, extend text, or enlarge pictures.
• Icon labels: View the labels of icons.
• List scrolling: Scroll up or down lists by holding the S Pen over the edge of the screen.
• Link preview: Hover the S Pen over a link to preview the linked content.
• Air menu: In a messaging app, hover the S pen over an action button to attach or insert
content, attach contacts, or add recipients to a message.
• Sound and haptic feedback: Play a sound an vibrate when hovering the S Pen over Air
view items.
Air view finger options: Select what is shown when you hover your finger over items on the
screen.
• Information preview: Preview information, extend text, or enlarge pictures.
