The
PHONES
socket
will
accept
a
6
mm
(1/4)
plug.
Before
connecting
the
headphones,
the
VOLume
control
should
be
set
to
the
minimum
position
to
avoid
damage
to
your
ears
and
headphones.
Then
adjust
the
sound
level
with
the
VOLume
control.
NOTE:
The
speakers
are
automatically
disconnected
when
the
headphones
are
connected
to
the
“PHONES”
socket.
Battery
checking
1.
Disconnect
the
mains
lead
and
the
plug
of
a
car
adaptor
from
the
power
supply
unit.
2.
Set
the
POWER
switch
to
the
“on”
position.

Set
the
VOLume
control
to
the
minimum
position
and
press
the
PLAY
button.

The
left-hand
ends
of
VU/SOUND
meters
(with
battery
check)
show
battery
condition.

the
unit:
will
operate
monophonically.
When
a
weak-signal
station
is
received
in
stereo,
press
the
MODE
switch
to
the
‘‘mono”’
position
to
improve
reception.

in

desired
radio
programme
as
described

and
adjust
the
microphone
volume
with
the
MIC
MIX
VOLume
control.
NOTE:

To
prevent
feedback,
the
microphone
volume
should
be
reduced
as
much
as
possible.
