BEFORE
OPERATION
Turning
the
power
on
and
off
Press
the
cb/ON
button.
“HELLO”
briefly
appears
on
the
display
and
the
STANDBY
indicator
goes
out.
(After
connecting
the
mains
lead,
when
you
press
the
cb/ON
button
for
the
first
time,
the
volume-reset
feature
automatically
sets
the
initial
volume
level.)
To
turn
the
power
off,
press
the
cb/ON
button
again.
“GOOD-BYE”
briefly
appears
and
the
STANDBY
indicator
lights.
When
the
mains
lead
is
connected
to
the
AC
outlet,
the
unit
will
respond
to
commands
from
the
remote
control.
Ecology
(low
power
consumption)
standby
mode
(Main
unit
oniy)
You
can
set
the
unit
to
the
ecology
standby
mode.
First
press
the
cb/ON
button
to
turn
the
power
off,
then
press
the
CLOCK/
ECO
button
to
select
the
desired
standby
mode.
Each
time
the
button
is
pressed,
the
display
changes
as
follows.

selected

disc
play
is
started,
or

the
volume
Turn
the
VOLUME
control
(or
press
the

or
-
VOLUME
button
on
the
remote
control).
The
volume
level
appears
on
the
display
(VOL

gives
