Connect the oscilloscope and AC VTVM to the Dolby test
point TP3 and TP4 (Left and Right channel) on the
DECK/FUNCTION P, C, Board,
Load Deck 1 with a test tape (Example: TEAC MTT-150)
and set it in the playback mode.
Adjust potentiometer VR301 (Left Channel), so that the
output level becomes
650mV kO.5dB.
Adjust potentiometer VR302 for the Right channel by fol-
lowing the same procedures as described for the Left
channel.
METER SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT
After the playback sensitivity adjustment was mode,
playback the test tape (Example: TEAC MTT-150) on Deck
1.
Adjust potentiometer VR651 and VR652 (Left and Right
channel) so that the Level meter indicates light up OdB
(Red point).
RECORDING BIAS LEVEL ADJUSTMENT (DECK2)

Connect the audio signal generator to the Left channel of
the DAT/VTR Input terminal, and the AC VTVM to the
Dolby test point TP3 and TP4 (Left and Right channel) on
the DECK/FUNCTION P.C.Board,
Load Deck 2 with a normal tape (Example: TDK AC223)
and set it in the recording mode.
Function switch to the DATIVTR position.
Set the Input Level ATT so that the output level becomes
30mV and feed the signals of lkHz and 12.5kHz from the
audio signal generator into the unit. Then, record the
signals on the tape.
Playback the recorded signals and adjust potentiometer
VR307 for the Left channel, so that the difference in output
of the lkHz and 12.5kHz
signals become *ldB.
Adjust potentiometer VR308
for the Right channel by fol-
lowing the same procedures as described
for the Left
channel.
