GENERAL OPERATION
Power button (POWER)
Bass expander switch (BASS XPANDER)
Press the POWER button to turn the power on.
Press the BASS XPANDER switch (button IN) to increase

NOTE:
When the power is turned on or off, the CD changer
takes approximately 10 seconds to reset. Do not dis-
connect the AC lead or remove the batteries until this
operation is completed.
Volume control (VOLUME)
Turn the VOLUME control clockwise to increase the vol-
ume. Turn it counterclockwise to decrease the volume.

Tone control (TONE)
Use the Tone control to emphasize or de-emphasize the
high-frequency response.
To emphasize the high frequencies, turn the control to the
right (HIGH).
To de-emphasize the high frequencies, turn the control to
the left (LOW).

Stereo headphone socket (PHONES)
Insert the miniplug from a pair of headphones (not supplied)
into the headphone socket. When headphones are plugged
in, the speakers are automatically disconnected.

WHAT TO DO IF ...
If the operation of the unit or display is not
normal, disconnect the mains lead from the AC
outlet and remove the batteries (if applicable),
then press the RESET button (back of the unit)
for at least 20 seconds.
