MAINTENANCE
Please remember that
your
recorder is
a sensitive electro-
mechanical
device
which
needs
occasional
maintenance.
1.
Cleaning of
neads
and
pinch
roller.
To assure continued high
performance
from
your
recorder,
periodically
clean heads,
pinch
roller and capstan
whenever an
accumulation
of dust and
red-brown
oxide
particles
is noticed.
These
particles
may
be
removed
with a cotton
swab
moistened in isopropyl
alcohol
or special head cleaning
fluid. To do this
properly, push
the STOP/EJECT key and
cassette compartment lid
will open.
Carefully
rub
the face
of the head with
alcohol and also the
surface of the capstan
and
pinch
roller.
2.
Cleaning of cabinet and visible metal
parts.
Use a clean
soft
cloth moistened with
plain
lukewarm
water.
Never
use benzol, benzine or other strong chemical
cleaners
since these could damage
the
finish
of
your
unit.
It is important
that
no liquid
reaches
the
insides
of the
recorder.

OR
LUBRICATION.
