Installing
the
battery
pack
The
supplied
battery
pack
has
not
been
charged,
make
sure
to
charge
it
before
using
it
on
the
camcorder
for
the
first
time.

Set
the
POWER
switch
to
“OFF”.

Align
the
right
side
of
the
battery
pack
with
the
line
on
the
camcorder.
Then,
while
pressing
it
down,
slide
the
battery
pack
toward
the
right
until
a
click
is
heard.

To
remove
the
battery
pack,
push
and
hold
down
the
BATT
button,
then
slide
the
battery
pack
in
the
opposite
direction
of
the
arrow
on
the
battery
pack
(©).
Erasure-prevention
switch
To
prevent
accidental
erasure
of
recorded
material,
use
the
erasure-prevention
switch,
as
described
below.

Before
loading
the
cassette
Recorded
cassettes
or
new
cassettes
tapes
may
be
loosely
wound.
Loose
tape
winding
can
be
eliminated
by
gently
turning
with
a
finger
the
left
reel,
see
illustration,
at
the
bottom
of
the
cassette.

holes

bottom

the

cassettes
in
their
case,
away
from
strong
light
or
heat
sources,
standing
upright
(vertical)
to
prevent
dust
from
entering,
as
well
as
uneven
tape
winding.
